The innovative format was played over 90 holes, with 27 holes of stroke play on Friday  cutting the field from 28 to 8, followed by three rounds of nine-hole knockout stroke play to determine a winner on sarturday.

Ikoyi based player Francis Epe and Sunday Olapade battled through the final matches, with huge crowds lining the fairways with each of the players coming out top in their groups in the semifinals.

In the Francis  edged out Olapade on the second hole when Olapade missed a four footer putt for a par of which Francis quickly grabbed the advantage to take a stroke lead after both players made birdies on the first.

But the game got heated when Olapade failed to find the fairways on the fifth par 4, that led to a two stroke lead on the 'Hit man'. The duo displayed their skills but the game seemed not to be in favor of four times winner on the tour Olapade, as Epe kept on grinding hard and emerged as the winner at the end of the day with Olapade sealing the second spot. Epe who joined the tour in February has had five top ten finish in his last four start only to claim a win this time.

Meanwhile Ghanaian E.k Owusu finished third after beating PortHarcourt based player Mike Ubi by one shot in the 3rd/4th play-off as the tournament ended in a grand style.
