MIKE UBI TO THE TOP AND AIMING FOR FIRST WIN

The West Africa Golf Tour saw today one of the most exciting rounds of golf since its launching in february 2016. The third round of the Nigeria Masters concluded with five players under par, Mike Ubi, Chukwudi Okoro, Vincent Torgah, Sunday Olapade and Kingsley Oparaku.

Mike Ubi played a competitive round and carded seven birdies and two bogies in his  (67), the best score of the day, taking a one-shot lead into the final round of the NIGERIA MASTERS at Phyton International Golf Club, Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

Ubi was a pre-tournament favourite, he opened the NIgeria Masters tied for 4th and ended the second round tied for 5th place with five others. The Port Harcourt based-golfer acknowledged that “expectations from his supporteres are very high but as the game progresses, I have managed to ease the pressure and get better and better”.

Ubi holds a one-shot lead into the final round of the NIGERIA MASTERS followed by Chukwudi Okoro and Vincent Torgah who carded a 68 and 69 third round respectively to tied for second place at 210. Sunday Olapade shot 68 to climb three spots move to third place (212) while Mapwanya moved from second to fourth after playing course par today (72) and total (214).

Kingsley Oparaku and Gift Willy shot 69 and 74 respectively to tie for fifth place (216) after 54 holes.
