It’s a lovely turn around for the tournament as G. Inalegwu takes the lead on the top of the board.

It’s the 3rd day of the 5th Leg of the Race to Nigeria Masters and 8 players still on the struggle of subduing the luscious Arsenal Golf Course. Hitting the top of the board with a 1 over par (73) is a zealous golfer G. Inalegwu. His today’s game wasn’t really that distinct but his ability to maintain a par majorly in most of the holes coupled with the fair game he has been playing in previous rounds saw him coming the first on the board.

“I’m very happy, I didn’t see myself coming to the top of the leaderboard, this in a way have given me hope and I am optimistic about maintaining my position on the board in tomorrow’s finals”. Inalegwu said in a media chat with the africantour.

Coming in second place with 4 scores different is J. Alex who started his round beautifully with a bogey, birdies in 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th holes, a par in hole 6th, a bogey in the 7th hole and eventually finishes hole 8th & 9th with pars to make 37. With 2 bogeys in 10th & 11th holes, pars in hole 13th, 16th and the rest of the holes in back 9 being birdies saw him coming 40, finishing the round with 5 over par (77).

Alex revealed in a media chat that though the game of golf is unpredictable, he hasn’t given up on his ability and I his coming in full force to the final round.

There is so much expectation on U. Anoruo who happened to be in third place on the leaderboard, would he be able to fight his way back to the top of the board!
