Second round (leg13) of the Race to Nigeria masters (Pro/Am) tournament

13th leg race to Nigeria masters: U. Anoruo Maintains leads in day 2 of the tournament
We are live at the arsenal golf course Owerri, the weather seems a bit chilly with the wind blowing gently through the fairway and green , and birds chirping as players battle for the prize money.

Standing in first place is the consistent player U. Anoruo who With 6 over 78 in the second round managed to secure himself first place on the leaderboard, his game had a combination of 9 pars 6 bogeys and 2 birdies, he now sits 1 strokes ahead of his closest contender.

In an interview with the African tour correspondent U. Anoruo said ‘’I tried to maintain first place even though it was by mere chance , On this day things didn’t go well as I had planned but I hope it goes well all through the rest of the game’’ .

Coming in second place is J. Moses who played 6 over (78) in the first round, but went on forward from 3rd to 2nd place after he shot 2-over (74) in the second round. He rounded up with a cumulative score of +8 after 36 holes (152).

I’m happy to have played lesser shots today, I hope to make more birdies and Eagles in tomorrow’s game.

We know the game of golf is filled with good breaks and bad breaks, so the question is will Anoruo maintain his position at the top of the leaderboard ? Or will he let his Contenders overtake him. Stay tuned to find out.
