J. Alex Eyes 3rd tittle as he extends lead with 8 shots ahead in the road to the nigerian masters leg 28 final round;
At the Arsenal golf course owerri, the weather, is lovely, a bit hazy, but not enough to stop 5 players from competing for the prize money.
On the par 72 golf course in Owerri J. Alex shot three over par, a rather average start for the player; Having shot 74 after the first round, he played a 1-over (73) but was able to maintain his lead with a 3-over (75) and make the cut into the final round of Day 4. Albeit this gray patch, the long hitter was able to play 2 under (70) and clinch victory, thereby winning the prize money of N100,000 and Birdie count of N6,500.

In second place in the final was U. Anoruo, who started with great promise in the first round but faltered after playing 3 over course pars in his second, third and final round consecutively with 78, 75 and 76 in his final round. He fell to second place on the leaderboard as he finished with a cumulative score of +12 after 72 holes (300).
​
In third place is D. Ali, who played 2-over (74) after the first round, but went a little behind after he shot 4-over (76) in the second round. On Thursday, he played 3-over (75) , going into the final round of day 4. He rounded up with 5 over (77) and a cumulative score of +14 after 72 holes (302).
​
In a brief interview with the winner, J. Alex, he expresses his gratitude first to God and to the president of the African tour golf foundation, for creating such a wonderful opportunity for young golfers to fine tune their skills while playing competitively with other excellent golfers. In his interview he remarked on his excitement in making the cut by playing 2-under. With big dreams to lead in the tour's order of merit, he's gearing up to win the next tournament.

The Masters tournament is going to be SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST as these young golfers will not only compete for prize money but also to win first place in the tour order of merit.
