Epe Takes Half Way Lead As Togarh  Chases Close @ the 2019 Shagamu  Cup.

After a tie for second spot in the  first-round of the 2019 Shagamu Cup Championship, Francis Epe cooled down considerably on Thursday, shooting another consecutive 70 in the second round at Lafarge Cement Golf Club in Shagamu, Ogun State.

Epe  ended his second round with an overall score of @_two_under_Par for the tournament, to ditinguish himself from the field, placing him in a solo lead on the leaderboard, three shots ahead of Mike Ubi and Vincent Togarh who are currently tied for second @_one_over_par going into the moving day at the Shagamu Cup.

Epe in the second round finished with four birdies, eleven pars and three  bogeys en_route to his second win this season in the AFRICAN TOUR's sixth event of the season that awards  four-thousand oder of merit points for the winner.

Meanwhile Thursday's showing was a far cry for Enoch Owusu and Christopher Francis from what thry accomplished in their first round when both players fired two-under 69 respectively to hold a share of the lead.

Though both players are still in the mix at the Shagamu Cup Championship and will will be playing the final two rounds,       Thanks to their fantastic opening rounds, but another performance like the one they churned out on Thursday would all but crush their chances of winning, after both Owusu and Christopher carded a pair of 76's in the second round to take a share of the seventh spot @_three_over par.

The Shagamu Cup  which will also be used as a qualifying round for NGF Amateur players to represent Nigeria in Mauritius, in an all expenses paid trip to Mauritius in October. Only saw three of the amateur players on the field make their way into the final two rounds.

This amateur players include Uche Eze @_seven_over_par , O. Owolabi @_eight_over_par and.   A. Oyewoga @_twelve_over_par after the first two rounds.
